Critical Thinking

1. Analysis: Breaking down information to understand its components and relationships. Example: Analyzing a news article to identify facts, opinions, and biases.

2. Evaluation: Judging the validity, relevance, and credibility of information. Example: Evaluating the credibility of an online news source considering its authority, objectivity, and timeliness.

3. Synthesis: Combining information to form a broader understanding. Example: Synthesizing information from different sources to understand the causes and consequences of a global event.

4. Induction: Making generalizations based on specific observations. Example: Inducing that climate change is real based on observations of climate patterns and scientific evidence.

5. Deduction: Reaching logical conclusions based on established premises. Example: Deducting that a product is of low quality based on negative reviews and low ratings.


Media Literacy
